Congratulations to Angela Lin, Orly Webster and Wren Furneaux who next academic year 2024/25 will be the joint Head Prefects for PACA!
We recently interviewed them and asked a few questions about their journey so far at PACA:
What is a Head Prefect:
Angela : ' a Head Prefect was someone that looks after others, helps them to understand school life. There is no hierarchy here we are all equal.'
Orly : ' a Head Prefect was a student who could communicate to both students and teachers to feedback on any changes within school life'
Wren : ' a Head Prefect is someone who leads the other Prefects a strong communicator who can get their ideas across.'
How did you feel when you first started in Y7
Wren: 'Excited to be in a new school with a change of pace.'
Orly: 'Very excited but also nervous. Didn't know many students from my primary school. I was surprised when I started as I was able to reconnect with other students I knew from when I was younger.'
Angela: 'I felt fear of a new environment, but I also felt very grown up.'
What advice would you give a new student?
Orly: 'Put yourself out there as much as possible! This could be good for you in the long run.'
Angela: 'Focus on learning and education from the beginning. Build relationships by talking to the person you are sat next to.'
Wren: 'Don't be afraid to move away from your old school friends to talk to other students.'
